The Task
To provide tourism and development professionals from across Armenia with training tools to build a common vision and an action plan for sustainable tourism development at the destination level.
The Solution
To develop a 3-week-long custom training program that can be taught online on the TrainingAid learning platform. Training participants can access course content, as well as other resources, templates, videos at anytime during the training program period. Course onboarding and ongoing support should be provided to create a smooth learning experience.
Delivered by Jlag (PM4SD Accredited Training Organisation) and TrainingAid for UNDP Armenia, this blended training program provides the opportunities for participants to apply best practices in their own project context, helping improve various local and regional projects supporting sustainable tourism development and destination management.
The Implementation
TrainingAid implemented the course design and guaranteed a smooth learning process on the TrainingAid learning platform. The blended training program, which was then delivered by Jlag (PM4SD Accredited Training Organisation) and TrainingAid for UNDP Armenia, provided the opportunities for participants to apply best practices in their own project context, helping improve various local and regional projects supporting sustainable tourism development and destination management.
Tourism and development professionals from across Armenia have joined the training and successfully completed the online training course and the onsite face-to-face training session that took place in Yerevan (December 20-21, 2018), completing their training and preparing them for the PM4SD-Foundation certification, accredited by APMG International.
